HOW DOES THE SERVICE WORK?

Morfa Doc provides a software assisted telephone triage service. This is operated by fully qualified nurses who have undertaken specialist courses in triage and have many years experience in this field.

All calls are voice recorded for your protection as well as ours.

The nurse will ask you a series of questions beginning with your contact details, then progressing on to your symptoms or problem.

     The out come of the consultation will normally be one of the following

• Advised to dial 999 for an ambulance

• Redirected to your nearest casualty department

• Offered a home visit

• Offered an appointment at our out of hours centre

• Advised on self help techniques

• Details passed to a district nurse / social worker etc.
